Lifeline of the poor and needy

Along with playing a part in the clean India movement, Bharti Foundation is also promoting education among kids.

Until recently Paramjeet Kaur of Madyani village, Ludhiana, used to face a lot of problems due to lack of toilet in her home. She lost her eyesight in accident, while going out to defecate in the open. Similar tragedy happened with Indrajeet of Humbuala village, who lost one of his leg. Due to lack of toilet facility in the premises, the girl students of the rural schools were helpless. They had no option but to drop out of the school. Satya Bharti Campaign is responsible for bringing smile of their face. Paramjeet and Indrajeet’s problems have been solved, there is no reason for the women of the village to be ashamed of and the girl students of the village go to school filled with enthusiasm. Toilet construction in schools and rural households under this campaign has made their life simpler and easier.

India’s leading telecom company Airtel is running ‘Satya Bharti Abhiyan’ in the rural areas of the country under their corporate social responsibility wing, Bharti Foundation.
